Dr. Avid Farhoodfar’s core expertise is in developing efficient and scalable software solutions to drive innovation in quantum computing. Her industry roles include network administration and engineering at the Shared Hierarchical Academic Research Computing Network (Trent University, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada), Laser Scientist at the Semiconductor Laser Lab (San Jose City College, San Jose, California), and Research Advisor (ITU University, San Jose, California). Her teaching interests are in software engineering, cybersecurity, algorithms, machine learning, and data science.

Dr. Avid Farhoodfar received a Ph.D. in Computational Quantum Systems from Queens University, Ontario, Canada. She received her M.S. in Software Engineering and Computer Science from the International Technological University, San Jose, California.
